FBN Large Families gathering

Last spring in Courances, France, we successfully hosted the first FBN Large Family Community Gathering. About 30 family members from 20 countries met and exchanged their very specific issues related to family cohesion, affectio societatis, governance, professionalization, strategy, and diversification.

We are pleased to invite families with cousin consortium to the second edition of the FBN Large Families Community gathering – 16 & 17 May in Biella, Italy.

The event is designed for participants to:

• Be inspired by prominent large families cases 
• Interact in deep dive and intimate conversations with peers on key topics:

* Transparency: how to deal with increased pressures from external stakeholders
* Moving from “pruning the tree” to “nurturing the tree”
* Moving From “being one family” to “speaking with one voice”
* From “fair governance” to “fair, flexible, and effective governance”
 

• Learn from the latest research - the conversations will be enlighted by Paolo Morosetti (Bocconi), who will share the key findings of his joint research with Guido Corbetta and Carlo Salvatto – “Learning and practicing longevity, lessons from ten exemplary European family businesses”.
• Have some time to “Netwalk” during optional cultural visits.

In the pure FBN tradition, the event will be hosted by the Sella family who will also share their own journey – over 450 years of entrepreneurial history and today the largest private and independent banking group in Italy.

To ensure participants have an intimate and deep inter-personal experience, the event will be limited to 30 participants with a maximum of two members per family, ideally representing two different generations.
